Dana Hicks, Lead Pastor
Dana came to CrossPoint with over 25 years of experience as a pastor in a variety of settings. He was born in Southern California but grew up in a small town in Western Oregon called McMinnville.
Dana received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho, the Master of Divinity degree from Nazarene Theological Seminary (Cum Laude) in Kansas City, Missouri, and the Doctor of Ministry degree from the Beeson Pastor Doctoral Fellowship at Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky. His dissertation title was, “Church Culture and Evangelistic Effectiveness.” He has also completed post-doctoral studies at Asbury Theological Seminary in Church Planting for the 21st Century.
Dana is a contributor to several books including: Generation Xers Talk about the Church of the Nazarene (Beacon Hill Press, 1999), Postmodern AND Wesleyan: Exploring the Boundaries and Possibilities (Beacon Hill Press, 2009), Love Among Us (Beacon Hill Press, 2009), Pastoral Practices: A Wesleyan Paradigm (Beacon Hill Press, 2012), and, Missional Discipleship: Partners in God's Redemptive Mission (Beacon Hill Press, 2013). He also has written for periodicals such as: Grace and Peace magazine and The Church Planter Collective.
Dana is married to Serena. They have five kids between them (Olivia, Kendall, Blake, Teagan, and Tatiana).
Serena was born in Houston, Texas but moved all around the country as her father pastored a variety of Lutheran parishes. Serena is a graduate of the University of Idaho (B.S.) and Northwest Nazarene University (M.A., Ed.S., and Ph.D.).
Serena serves as a Professor in the College of Education and Director of the Graduate Certificate Program at Boise State University. While living in Boise, she has served as a middle school English teacher, a small business owner, and an educational consultant for The Roland Corporation.

Mattie Stewart, Director of Outreach and Hospitality
Mattie has spent almost her entire life in the Treasure Valley. She is a mother to four amazing kids and has the honor of being married to her favorite person in the entire world, James, for nearly 16 years.
Mattie is a dedicated advocate for CrossPoint's movement of love, worship, compassion, social justice and faith. She is gifted at coming along side of people to encourage them to love themselves and those around them. She has over 10 years of experience working with small groups and various women's groups.
She is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Public Relations at Boise State University.

Danika Charters, Worship Director
Danika was born and raised in Boise, Idaho. A graduate of Borah High School and Boise Bible College (B.A. in Worship Leadership), she is a talented vocalist and a passionate worship leader.
Hayden Wright, Worship Director
Hayden grew up in Vancouver, Washington and attended Mountain View High School. He is a senior at Boise Bible College studying Worship Ministry. He is an avid Oregon Ducks fan and plays a mean guitar.

Meredith Ward, Children’s Ministry Director
Meredith comes to CrossPoint from the non-profit world. Her passion for children comes from her own experience as a mother. She is a graduate of Texas Women’s University with a degree in both English and Dance. Meredith is married to John. They have two amazing daughters.

Sara Wright, Communications Director
Sara coordinates the social media, graphics, and communications for CrossPoint. She does photography for weddings, senior pictures, and other events on the side (White Daisy Photography). Sara is married to Hayden.
